Near-Term Outlook for Bank Failures

Foresight Analytics has released its near-term forecasts for bank failures. This study analyzes the current cycle of bank failures and projects future closures through the third quarter of 2009.

The report includes a discussion of the factors driving increasing failures, characteristics of failed institutions, a description of factors we use in our failure model and implications for investors, banks and regulators.
